We’re seeking an experienced, Senior Loan Officer with at least five years in the mortgage industry who thrives in a broker environment and has an entrepreneurial mindset. This role is ideal for seasoned originators who want to scale their production with the flexibility, tools, and pricing advantage of mortgage brokering — not retail banking.
As a Senior Loan Officer at Matador Lending, you’ll leverage our diverse lender network to structure customized loan solutions for your clients, build strong referral relationships, and help borrowers achieve their homeownership and investment goals.
Develop and maintain a strong referral network of real estate agents, builders, investors, and past clients.
Proactively identify new opportunities through outbound prospecting, database marketing, and social media.
Participate in company-provided marketing campaigns or create your own within compliance guidelines.
Analyze borrower financials, income documentation, and credit profiles to recommend the best loan products.
Present competitive loan options sourced from Matador’s 70+ lender partners.
Educate clients on the benefits of various programs including conventional, FHA, VA, Non-QM, DSCR, and commercial loans.
Collect and review borrower documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Work with Matador’s processing and operations partners to ensure clean submissions and smooth closings.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines at all stages.
Communicate consistently with clients and referral partners throughout the process.
Ensure high satisfaction through transparency, speed, and exceptional service.
Use our CRM to manage your database for repeat and referral business.
⚡ Active NMLS license in Texas (FL, GA, or CA also welcome)
⚡ Minimum 5 years of successful experience as a licensed Loan Officer or Mortgage Broker
⚡ Proven track record of self-sourcing and consistently closing residential loans
⚡ Expert knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, Non-QM, DSCR, and investment loan programs
⚡ Proficiency with broker LOS systems (ARIVE, Encompass, UWM BOLT, or equivalent)
⚡ Strong consultative sales and communication skills
⚡ Ability to operate independently in a remote-friendly, fast-paced brokerage environment
